Outlaws 57 - 46 Raiders

By Emlyn - Posted on 18 October 2009

Raiders suffered a tough loss to local rivals Essex Outlaws in the first Super League match of the season. Raiders trailed by 14 points at half time, following a strong start by Outlaws, and never quite recovered, despite a spirited fightback. Raiders cut the lead to as little as 5 points in the 4th quarter, with less than 2 minutes remaining, but some key baskets late on by Outlaws players Hadj Lahmar and David Robertson stopped the Raiders momentum, and Outlaws held on for victory. Raiders will look to improve in their next game on November the 14th, when they face yet another tough away game against Aylesbury Aces.
