Raiders win Menghi Mulchandani Trophy

By Emlyn - Posted on 25 August 2008

Raiders went 5-0 in a pre-season tournament to win the inaugural Menghi Mulchandani Trophy. After winning all their matches in the run-up to the final, Raiders met a tough Essex Outlaws side in a battle for the trophy.

The match was a memorable one, with Outlaws coming back from 6 points down with under a minute to go of the final quarter to force the game into overtime after a four point play and last second reverse layup. However, Raiders were determined not to let the efforts of the day go to waste, and after some tough defense and solid offence in the overtime period, emerged victorious.

Raiders would like to thank Menghi's family for all of their contributions to a wonderful tournament, and will hope to return to defend their crown next year.
